A bombshell story by a liberal reporter from Rolling Stone Matt Taibbi about the origins of the Russia/Trump story got little attention from the major media outlets.

Matt goes through the sordid start of the entire affair and it is a disgrace. Either the Intel community did a hit job on Trump or they fell for a fake story pushed by people who wanted to cash in. Either way, it is bad and now Barr is putting the media on notice for their role in pushing the conspiracy.

Remember, CNN and MSNBC have actually hired many of the same experts involved in the failed conspiracy.

“It is the doomsday scenario of abuse of government power, which is the party in power uses the police and intelligence services to tilt the field against their political opponents,” Barr said.

“And that’s terrible from a governmental and civil rights standpoint,” Barr added.

“The media was part of this, and that’s, to me, probably the worst aspect of this. The so-called watchdogs of the system — they became attack dogs.”

“They weren’t watchdogs. They had no critical, they didn’t use any critical faculties,” Barr added.

“In fact, some things that were clearly preposterous, they took hook, line, and sinker, and they fanned the flames of this worse than anybody else,” Barr said.

“They all got out on the limb. The limb has been sawed off, but you wouldn’t know it, because there’s, you know, they don’t even say, ‘Whoops, we got that one wrong.’”

“They’re onto the next conspiracy theory.”

On any indictments for the Durham probe, Barr said,

“What I want to do is make it clear that we will indict people only when we are satisfied that the standards of the department have been met, which means that we believe a crime has been committed by this person and we have proof beyond a reasonable doubt to prove it,” Barr said.

“And we have to go to a grand jury, and the grand jury has to agree to get the indictment,” Barr continued.

“And proof beyond a reasonable doubt is a high standard. And I think all political sides have gotten into the habit in this country of just sort of saying that their political opponents have done something terrible.

They think it’s terrible. It’s enough for me to conclude he’s terrible, why isn’t he in prison?”

Democrats might be spending too much time looking at their own polls.

If they really think the election is in the bag, they’re in for a rude awakening this November.

An election doesn’t come down to phone calls or texts. It’s about grassroots momentum, going door-to-door to inspire new voters.

And Trump’s team is miles ahead of Biden’s:

Donald Trump’s campaign says it knocked on over 1 million doors in the past week alone.

Joe Biden’s campaign says it knocked on zero…

Biden and the Democratic National Committee aren’t sending volunteers or staffers to talk with voters at home, and don’t anticipate doing anything more than dropping off literature unless the crisis abates.

In just one week, Trump’s campaign reached one million Americans by going door-to-door.

Joe Biden’s team? Zero.

Biden’s campaign shrugged off the shocking lack of outreach by saying they are switching to online outreach.

Citing the virus, they appear to not want to go to where the people are, to secure their support.

I have some bad news for them. Trump’s campaign is just as aggressive online as they are. Perhaps even more so.

Plus, they are going door-to-door to make sure no one is left behind.

Does anyone believe that Biden’s campaign is really sitting out over COVID concerns?

Don’t these people have masks and hand sanitizer? Shouldn’t they be doing everything in their power to secure the election?

Oh, I see. They think that because liberal-leaning polls say Biden will win, they don’t have to do much work?

Hillary seemed to have the same opinion. Ask her how it worked out for her.

This is consistent with Joe’s overall strategy of hiding in his basement. He thinks he can become president by avoiding the public, refusing to talk, insulting black folks, and not holding events.

Why should his campaign put in any effort to win new supporters?

Key Takeaways:

  • Trump’s campaign reached 1 million Americans going door-to-door in one week.
  • Joe Biden’s campaign has not done door-to-door outreach, citing the pandemic.
  • Biden’s camp is banking on online and texting to motivate voters.

This one hurts like a dagger in the heart for the hapless Democrats and their leader Nancy Pelosi.
Pelosi ripped Trump yesterday and blamed him for deaths in America related to the outbreak.
Today, Nancy wakes up to see a video going viral of her on February 24th encouraging people to come down to Chinatown in San Francisco:
“Come to Chinatown. Here we are. We’re careful, safe, and come join us.” What a hypocrite.
From NBC (on Feb 24th)
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi toured San Francisco’s Chinatown Monday to send a message. She said there’s no reason tourists or locals should be staying away from the area because of coronavirus concerns.
“That’s what we’re trying to do today is to say everything is fine here,” Pelosi said. “Come because precautions have been taken. The city is on top of the situation.”
Pelosi visited The Wok Shop, a temple and the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory, which was started 58 years ago by owner Kevin Chan’s mother and uncle.
Chan said his business is losing about $500-$800 a day, or about 70% on average. He believes the fear of the virus is racially motivated.
“I think it’s because even if I walk out and cough a little bit — my throat is itchy — they look at me, ‘Oh,’ like this, ‘scary,'” he said.
As Pelosi walked from the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory to lunch at a dim sum restaurant, she hugged friends and waved to onlookers. She downplayed the racism issue, saying she understands people are concerned about China – the epicenter of the novel coronavirus.
“But that shouldn’t be carried over to Chinatown in San Francisco,” she said. “I hope that it’s not that. But all I can say is, ‘I’m here.’ We feel safe and sound, so many of us coming here.”
.@SpeakerPelosi blames Trump for Coronavirus deaths: "The president, his denial at the beginning, was deadly. His delaying of getting equipment to where it — his continued delay in getting equipment to where it’s needed is deadly … as the president fiddles, people are dying."

People all over the country are talking about Chuck Schumer’s eye-opening threats against the Supreme Court.
The senator is trying to do damage control. But outside of an open apology (and taking back what he said), I don’t think that’s going to cut it.
Even the president has called out what the senator said. Even prominent liberal lawyers (some Constitutional experts) have condemned Schumer’s statements.
But words are not enough—where is the action? That’s what Americans want.
It looks like that’s coming from Sen Hawley. And he’s got plenty on board with him.
From Sen Josh Hawley:

Well, that didn’t take long. The first GOP Senator has broken ranks and sided with the Democrats on a key issue in the impeachment trial.
“Senator Collins and others raised concerns about the 24 hours of opening statements in two days and the admission of the House transcript in the record,” Annie Clark, spokeswoman for Collins said in announcing her move.
“Her position has been that the trial should follow the Clinton model as much as possible. She thinks these changes are a significant improvement.”

Look, as long as the GOP stays together they control the entire impeachment trial. The Democrats have little power.

Remember, and this is very important, the ultimate outcome – Trump’s acquittal is a done deal – the rest is just for show.

This is a show meant to damage Trump politically. That is all this is. So far, it has backfired on the Democrats and it looks to continue to do so.
But if Susan Collins and Mitt Romney break rank, the whole trial could quickly devolve into chaos.
And while Trump will still win in the end the odds of political damage go up with each time these turncoats stab Trump in the back.
From The Hill:
Sen. Susan Collins (Maine) became the only GOP senator to break with her party during a marathon session over the rules for the Senate’s impeachment trial of President Trump.
Democrats forced a 10th amendment vote early Wednesday morning that would extend the amount of time House impeachment managers and Trump’s legal team have to respond to motions.
Currently, both sides can file motions around 9 a.m., including a potential motion to dismiss the charges against Trump. Under the rules, the opposing side would have to respond by 11 a.m. The amendment by Democrats would extend that time, giving them until Thursday to respond.
A spokeswoman for Collins didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment about why she broke with her party and voted against tabling the amendment.
The early morning vote came after the first nine amendment votes failed, with senators voting along party lines to table the proposals from Democrats, including attempts to subpoena former national security adviser John Bolton and White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney.

Former basketball superstar Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, no fan of President Donald Trump, has declared President Trump the winner of the first two Democrat debates.
The for NBA star wrote an op ed for The Hollywood Reporter is which he ridiculed the debate format and the debaters.
“The newest season of the reality show ‘Side-eyeing Toward Washington’ kicked off this week with the Democrats’ Horde of Hopefuls having engaged in two nights of televised scoffing, snarking and Spanglish.
“While it’s all very entertaining to witness the drama of ambitious politicians jockeying for the last seat in Presidential Musical Chairs, the abilities necessary to be successful in this quiz show format of debate are not the same abilities necessary to be the leader of the free world.
“Because of the structure of these debates, the facts become less relevant than the style of delivery. (The candidates have one minute to respond to questions and 30 seconds for follow-ups. No opening statements, but time for closing remarks.)
“With only one minute to answer questions about complex issues, the goal is to say something tweet-worthy rather than explore the issues in depth. To verbally elbow to the front of the pack.
“As a screen nation, we voters have come to rely on such funhouse mirror versions of the issues, with truth stretched, compacted and fractured into amusing memes and gifs rather than illuminating discourse.”
“Trump mastered this pageantry format in his 2016 campaign. The quagmire of immigration issues got reduced to ‘Build that wall!’
“And, rather than address the intricacies of his opponents’ policies, Trump just chanted, ‘Lock her up!’ or gave them middle school nicknames like ‘Sleepy Joe.’
“His idea is that American voters’ intellectual capacity is limited to three syllables,” he said in his opinion piece…
“I like most of these candidates and most of the ideas they offered for bettering the country, though not all are qualified to be president,” the basketball star said.
“The only winners are those whose personalities managed to shake loose enough donations to keep their campaign running. Interrupting, insulting or talking over others doesn’t show a forceful person, just rudeness engendered by the circumstances.
“It’s Battle Royale in a TV studio. It’s Luke P. kneeing a rival’s head on The Bachelorette. The loser is an informed citizenry,” he said.
